Rheview #10 Onward (2020): Never take your surroundings for granted

Good day!

I'd watched this a month ago, and postponed the rheview so I can discuss this first with my friend. BUT, she hasn't watched it until now. So, I thought the best next right thing is to rheview it now, alone, before my memory about this film starting to fade. Anyway, from now on, I'm going to focus more on discussions & moral stories about the movie, rather than synopsis. By doing so, I'm hoping this will render readers to comment and argue about my opinions. Hence, I'm asking people to watch the film first, and then we can discuss~

A short synopsis about this film: A brotherhood (Ian & Barley) is tested when two of them must group up to complete the magic spell in order to rise up his father who already long time dead.

As the title says onward, so let's ONWARD!

Rheview #9 Ralph Breaks the Internet (, literally) (2018): ... and his mental issue

 Welcome to the internet!

As a daily user in this internet of things era, we're not that unfamiliar with the internet itself. But, it's not Ralph's case. Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018) is a sequel from 6 years ago's movie, Wreck-it-Ralph (2012). I watched the prior nearly a year after the release date, and almost forget the main problem and solution of that movie, entirely. What left in my memory is that Vanellope befriended the big-destroyer Ralph. Before I forget the sequel, let's jump into the main discussion!

Rheview #8 Soul (2020): Between passion and purpose

Hello, welcome back. Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it, so I want to give you my never-ending gratitude and love 💜.

Since the length of the last rheview was really short, I need to compensate for it in here. Well, I acknowledge that reviewing "short movie" doesn't mean it has to be "short" as well. In fact, I got many distractions while I wrote the review. Moreover, I didn't make any bullet points while watching the movie that can keep my arguments clear.

And now, here we go, I hope I don't mess up the following rheview. If you have any comments about my review, ask me to discuss it in English, please 👽. Alright, let's get started!~💨

Rheview #7 Positif (2020): Another COVID-related short movie

 Another short movie rheview

Hello, and thanks for stopping by~ Today I'd watched Positif since it's been on my YouTube's suggestion for several days and I can't hold back anymore to not watch this, and surprisingly, it's pretty decent! Okay let's get things started!

Positif (2020) is another Indonesian short movie that entertains and educates people at the same time. Well, most of the scenes are entertaining, tho. Compared to another COVID-related short movie that I'd reviewed (Sepuluh meter), this really highlights the entertainment.

Rheview #6 Dominion (2018): Cruelty in Superiority

Welcome back!~

Okay so it's been a long time that I haven't review any movie.. Maybe,, it has been 2 months? I guess? sorry for that..

Well, yesterday I watched Dominion which published in 2018. It is about,, umm, I don't know... I think this was a project to support vegetarian or maybe they were just really wanted to ban animal usage in everyday life. Let's just start the rheview, shall we?

Rheview #5 Tilik (2018): What is TILIK anyway?

Hello,, again

Ahh it's been a while (actually, it's been a long time) since I wrote my last review (sorry about that). I'd been very busy lately (doing hobby: playing game) is considered as busy right? :)) But this viral short movie make me want to take a look at it and do the review.  Haven't watch it yet? Click here~

Tilik (2018): Introduction of typical Indonesian "culture"

As a non-Javanese, I barely understand the title until ~70% of the movie when one of the character mention "tilik" and translated as "pay a visit". This confuses me a lot because "tilik" in Bahasa Indonesia means "checklist", so I was searching for "what checklist was going to be discussed?"

Bu Tejo--a loquacious mayoress wanna be--and her villager friends were going to visit their mayoress who was sick and was admitted to the hospital in the bigger city. To burn time, they make a chitchat and even spread rumors about others, typical Indonesian housewife.

Rheview #4 Sepuluh Meter (2020): Mental self-help in pandemy

Background story...

In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic period, one of the neglected issues is about mental health. This problem may affect everyone, not only those who suffer an economic crisis, but also those who settled on their comfortable mansion.

This issue mentioned well on Sepuluh Meter, a short movie made by Yandy Laurens with pandemic settings. (If you haven't watched it, WATCH IT NOW, SERIOUSLY!)

Rheview #3 Bridezilla (2019): Boundary between personal and professional life.

Hello, welcome back!

I'd been busy doing my course lately. And now it comes the time to write a RHEVIEW. You may notice that many of my reviews are on romance/drama genre. You notice it right, my favourite genre is drama, especially that consist of family or friendship problems. And you know what, this movie provides those.

Let's get going

Rheview #2 The Gift (2018): Your presence is my best gift from God.

The Gift (2018): Your presence is my best gift from God.

This movie reminds me of my friend's presentation video. It was about sight, glaucoma, and human umbilical blood cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUBCMSCs, more or less, I forget the exact name). We need to increase our gratitude that we can still watch this movie and read this review with our normal eyes. Well, even refraction impairment still can be thankful for: we still can see everything with assistance, right?

Before spoiling it further, let's just start the 30 minutes review.

DISCLAIMER: SPOILER ALERT

Rheview #1 Malaikat Tanpa Sayap (2012): Better to have heart than wings, devils have wings too

Malaikat Tanpa Sayap (2012): Better to have heart than wings, devils have wings too

Hello

I finally managed to post something else since the first post I made on the 3rd of May. I overwhelmed by negative thoughts: "what if I still have grammatical mistakes?" "what if others disagree with my opinions?" andddd several other what-if-s.

To make it more interesting, let's try to make a challenge: I have to finish the review only in a maximum of 30 minutes. So let's get started, shall we?

Disclaimer: SPOILER ALERT!

Rheview #12 Daylight (2015): we can't get everything, and that's reality

Hi! More than a year passed since I haven't posted any rheviews. Well, I've been watching several movies, but my laziness comes as u...
